4D Interactive Anatomy is not meant to replace the dissection lab experience. It is a digital extension that you can use anywhere to demonstrate real anatomy when you don't have access to cadavers or certain specimens.
We have made it our goal to make our website easy to access,- use,- and implement into courses. So much so, that we handle the implementation for you. Your students only need to log in to enjoy access to the multi-layer, interactive digital dissections right away.
Our detailed scans are useful for everyone from undergraduate to postgraduate students. Educators who use 4D Interactive Anatomy report that their students come to their classes better prepared.

What our customers are saying
"I really love the multiple levels of dissection sophistication that 4DIA offers to our students and faculty. The best part of the software is that students can “dissect,” then “un-dissect,” then “re-dissect”."
Jonathan J. Wisco, Ph.D.
Boston University
Aram V. Chobanian & Edward Avedisian School of Medicine
"4D Interactive Anatomy has proven to be an exceptional resource for our students in examining anatomical structures through real cadaveric images. This invaluable tool significantly aids their preparation for assessments, allowing them to thoroughly review anatomical structures."

MSc (Anatomy) Lecturer, Biomedical Sciences

Demonstrate Real Anatomy Anywhere
If you don't have access to donors, or availability is limited, 4D Interactive Anatomy is your best alternative choice. The level of detail you can see in our scans are comparable to being in the lab. Use 4D Interactive Anatomy as a demonstration tool to:
Connect your laptop to a projector or TV screen in a lecture hall, or study room. Pick a scan you would like to explore, for example shoulder and upper arm, and rotate, zoom in, and remove the layers to show the brachial plexus to your students.
Highlight and point at structures to identify them. Remove layers and rebuild them with a click of a button to help your students develop their spatial understanding and develop their sense of depth.
Access our website on touchscreen devices such as iPads in the lab to correlate variations with the physical donors.
Or set up digital workstations where students have to do a digital dissection before they are allowed to work with the real donors.

You can also use any video call software to share your screen online. Alternatively, you can record videos with any free screen capture software while you are exploring regions and structures on www.4danatomy.com.
Ideally, your students also get access to the website as part of an institutional license. This way, they are able to follow your instructions and look at the relevant views on their own devices.
Let Us Take Care of the Implementation for You!
Use our pre-made structures lists, or send us your own lists. We can import your lists into our website for your user group. Students who log in can select the relevant list (e.g. Week 1 - MSK) and review the structures in the list before going into the lab. Institutions who use 4D Interactive Anatomy report that their students come better prepared to their lab practices and spend their time more efficiently there.
Once we import your structure lists, students can also complete quizzes based on those specific structure lists. Our system will generate spotter-type questions for them to complete. As the answers are automatically reviewed by our system, we can save your time. With 4D Interactive Anatomy, quizzes are a quick and easy way to keep your students engaged. It can also provide them with instant feedback on their competencies.
Illustrate Course Materials, Quizzes, etc. with 12+ Million Images
Download any of our images with just a click of a button with or without the structures highlighted. You can easily use these images for illustrating course notes, lecture slides, quizzes, publications, etc. The intended use for the images is for anatomy education and research, in line with the donors' will. For more information on the use of images please read our terms of use or contact us.
Instruct with URL Links, Embed into LMS
Once we integrate your structure lists, they are available for export with the URL links pointing to the structures on 4D Interactive Anatomy. Copy these URL links and paste them into your course materials, lab guides, LMS, emails, etc. Students who have access to www.4danatomy.com can click the links and jump straight to the views they should explore before going into the lab. Instructing students have never been so easy and straightforward.
