Meet the team
Dr. Attila Álmos Balogh MD, PhD
CEO | Neurosurgeon
Dr. Balogh has been working at the Hungarian National Institute of Neurosurgery since 1998. Driven by his passion for advancing the field and sharing his knowledge, he earned the prestigious Spetzler Microsurgical Neuroanatomy Fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute at Arizona from 2000 to 2006. Under the guidance of Dr. Robert Spetzler, he refined his surgical skills and deepened his expertise in neuroanatomy and microsurgery, becoming a true master of his craft during this time.
Recognizing that there is a need for cadaver-based digital anatomy resources, Dr. Balogh started developing 4D Anatomy. At first, the platform's focus was to help neurosurgeons in training but it was soon expanded to help all students' anatomy education in general. Dr. Balogh holds two patents for groundbreaking neurosurgical advancements and published peer-reviewed articles for the past two decades.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Balogh maintains a balanced and fulfilling life. He enjoys an active lifestyle, with a particular passion for tennis, hiking, and promoting outdoor activities. His dedication to his family is evident, as he is a devoted husband and proud father of three.
Örs Ádám
COO | Economist
Örs has a degree in finance & accounting and spent 5 years at the Big4 before joining 4D Anatomy. With no prior training in anatomy education, Örs grew into this role by asking a lot of questions of students and faculty. Through building personal connections he was able to become a part of the global anatomy educator community.
Örs now runs all business operations of 4D Anatomy. Passionate about building 4D Anatomy into a truly useful anatomy education tool, you can find him at conferences asking questions about using tech in courses, curriculum design, student motivations, and more.
Outside work, he is an avid non-fiction reader and technology enthusiast. Most recently he is interested in research on universal basic income and incorporating AI into a society that seems to be stuck in the 20th century for most intents and purposes.
Robert Varkonyi
Software Engineer
Robert has been working as a software engineer since the mid 2000's and had the opportunity to gain experience in a wide range of web & software development principles. He had the privilege of working with a number of Fortune 500 companies and startups.
Robert takes care of the daily operation and technical development of the 4D Interactive Anatomy website and scanners. He focuses his efforts on continuously improving the platform in order to provide a best-in-class learning experience for anatomy students. Being a technology enthusiast (and sometimes a bit of a nerd), he enjoys exploring new technologies and learning about them.
When not coding, Robert likes to spend his time with a variety of activites: playing football, doing DIY projects, learning to play a few instruments or stargazing through his telescope and wondering about the misteries of the universe.
